Written by Laura MichetRead more >
"In Vampyr, Dontnod's upcoming RPG, you literally suck XP out of the necks of your foes.
During our E3 demo, a developer "mesmerized" a man on the street and led him in a swirling cloud of evil evil darkness to a wooded path, where he then, you know, did the deed. Blood sprayed. The victim fell to the ground, sobbing: "My boy… who will look after him now? I tried. I tried to be good father!!" Then the UI dinged: the player had levelled up.
The only way to gain levels in Vampyr is to accumulate blood, and while you can get it from combat, the most valuable blood in the game comes from random NPCs in the street, each of whom will have their own small side-quests and backstories. Bite Joe-- the poor fellow from the E3 demo-- and his son will be fatherless. Bite a merchant, and his store will be affected. Bite Joe's kid, and all those other relationships will change. Because Joe dies in the demo, "the behav…

Ultimately, Life is Strange does have the linearity of a Telltale adventure, but it's less restrictive and the time-rewind MacGuffin adds something unique to the formula. With well-drawn characters and everyday life choices made compelling enough to make you genuinely care, Life is Strange's first episode is an engaging beginning for what we hope will be a saga worth sticking with. Perhaps there's not the same kind of gut punch ending as some of Telltale's standout episodes, but it's down to the choices that you've made having a genuine ripple effect throughout Life is Strange's five episodes that will det…

Recently, rumors that Remember Me French developer, Dontnod Entertainment, recently filed for a type of Bankruptcy, or "Judicial Reorganization", began circulating around the gaming media circuit.
The news should have turned out to be true, did not bode well for the first-game developer and Remember Me itself. However, according to Escapist Magazine, Dontnod Entertainment has since denied any implications that their company has gone bankrupt.
How do you guys think this'll affect any possibilities for a sequel to Remember Me and any of their future projects?Read more >

For whatever reason Remember Me and all parties involved in Dontnod Entertainment's game is lacking a great deal of information on its Internet Movie Database profile. Outside of Kezia Burrows, no other English/French actor is not even listed the official profile. This creates a problem for Wikia editors and page creators who wish to assign characters with their proper voices.
The end credits of the game also do not assign character names to their actors. By the grace of Dontnod's formal announcement we know who Nilin's voice actress is, but everyone else is left in the dark.
However, if you happen to have any information on who voiced who in the game after Nilin (either by recognizing the voice or finding information elsewhere that's creditable), please leave a comment here.
- The following list of actors, currently are:
- Anthony Byrne - ???
- Joe May - ???
- Jules Dejongh - Madame
- Kezia Burrows - Nilin Cartier-Wells
- Kosha Engler - Olga Sedova
- Laurel Lefkow
- Lauren Mote - Young Nilin
- Nathan Nolan - Edge/…

Yesterday, Remember Me was released. A few critics have weighed in with their thoughts about the game. Here are a few snippets from publications on both the Internet and print. Make sure to voice your opinions on the matter below
The story of Nilin lasts maybe 10 hours, but will endure past the end credits. There are some shortcomings in terms of gameplay, indeed, but its storytelling, brilliant art direction, and impeccable, yet frightening vision of the future will most definitely remain branded in your memory for years to come.
The same problem undermines Remember Me's later platforming sections. Nilin's environmentally oriented physicality started out as a pleasant palate cleanser between battles, and moving gracefully across enormous distances via running jumps, sliding down pipes and swinging from one platform to another was a pretty good time. But as Remember Me progresses, the margin of error from point to point shrinks and the penalt…
